Todd's plumbing history and knowledge definitely sets him apart from the rest. With plumbing on both sides of his family it all started with Todd's Grandfather, Alan Perry. At a young age Alan started with Raheem Manufacturing after his honorable service to his country in WWII and the Korean War. In 1960, Alan started Penn Pipe & Supply, a wholesale plumbing supply company in Orange County, California. Penn Pipe was so successful that Alan increased the company to four locations: Stanton, Palm Springs, Santa Fe Springs and Beverly Hills. Alan also created & developed the well known Modern Price Book that enabled plumbers to know pricing for each item they used. This helped plumbers give their customers quality and reliable service at fair, competitive prices. Alan later retired his business to his two sons. Unfortunately Alan passed away on February 10, 2018 and he is dearly missed.
Todd’s father, Guenter “Joe” Mainberger, began his plumbing apprenticeship in his home town of Bad Kissingen, Germany. He completed his training and became a Master Plumber in Germany before immigrating to the United States. For many years Joe worked for Rex Knodel Plumbing. In 1976 after he became a US citizen Joe started Main Plumbing in Southern California. Todd's father was a hard working, family man. In addition to Main Plumbing, he was a sales representative for Villeroy & Boch. Joe was an incredible asset to Villeroy & Boch because of his vast plumbing knowledge & his ability to interact with both the US and Europe.
Todd was able to grow up and work side by side with these two great men who have been an inspiration to him. They have taught him the values of family, respect, honesty, integrity and hard work. As a young man Todd started working with other plumbing companies within Southern California where he was able to gain even more knowledge and experience in the plumbing industry. After 28 years, now with a family of his own, having worked in literally all areas of plumbing, Todd decided it was time to put his knowledge and experience to work, got his own contractors license and restarted his fathers business Main Plumbing. When he is not working he enjoys spending quality time with his family, hanging out at the beach, and camping.
